Chumbak OTT Release: Here’s When the Netflix Series Premieres

Chumbak is a Hindi multi-generational comedy-drama set in a lively urban colony, where five quirky families become one extended household. Blending humour, warmth and nostalgia, the series captures the delightful chaos of community living, where privacy is rare and every small matter becomes a colony-wide affair.

Originally scheduled for August 28, 2026, Chumbak was postponed by nearly two weeks as Netflix reworked its promotional rollout. The series is now streaming from today, September 10, 2026, and is available in India at 12:30 PM, following Netflix’s global release schedule rather than a local midnight drop.

Backed by Jamnadas (JD) Majethia and written and directed by Aatish Kapadia under Hats Off Production, the series features Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Sumeet Vyas, Manasi Parekh, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Delnaaz Irani and Sumeet Raghvan in key roles.

Naga Chaitanya and Meenakshi Chaudhary’s mystical thriller Vrushakarma is set for a key update today, with the makers announcing that its release date will be revealed this evening. Directed by Karthik Varma Dandu of Virupaksha fame, the film has generated strong curiosity.

The latest buzz suggests December 3, 2026 as the likely release date. If confirmed, Vrushakarma will arrive in the same window as Prabhas’ Fauzi, adding further intrigue to the already competitive December release calendar.

Jayaram and Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava, who makes his Tollywood debut as the antagonist, are part of the cast. Produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, the film has music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
