Nani’s The Paradise is just two weeks away from its worldwide theatrical release, and the film is already witnessing strong demand for tickets. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the much-awaited outing has generated considerable buzz, with audiences eager to see the duo reunite after the success of Dasara.

The overseas response has been particularly encouraging, with North American premiere pre-sales crossing $100K soon after bookings opened. The latest update puts the sales past $140K, with more than 5,000 tickets sold so far. The strong start has caught the attention of trade circles, with expectations rising as the film moves closer to its release.

Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead, while veteran actor Mohan Babu appears in a key role. Produced by SLV Cinemas, The Paradise features music by Anirudh Ravichander. The teaser and songs have already struck a chord with audiences, and the team will look to sustain the momentum through the final promotional stretch.

Sardar 2 is the sequel to the 2022 hit film Sardar. Headlined by Karthi and directed by PS Mithran, the film will open in cinemas in a few hours, but the advance bookings have been disappointing, to say the least.

Generally, for a hit film’s sequel, the bookings should be strong, but the situation is quite contrasting in the case of Sardar 2. The all-India advances are below the Rs. 3 crore mark, with Tamil Nadu lagging behind heavily.

What makes this trend more concerning is that the film was made on a whopping budget of over Rs. 100 crores, and the movie needs to really perform well to get over the line. If the word-of-mouth isn’t positive, then it will be an uphill task to recover the investment.
