Aadi Sai Kumar is doing back to back films this year. His latest presentation is Crazy fellow which hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:

Nani(Aadi Saikumar) is a happy go lucky youth who joins a dating app and gets attracted to a girl named Chinni(Digangana Suryavanshi) without even seeing her. He gets close to her and even Chinni falls in love with him. When the couple decide to meet each other, Nani springs a surprise and proposes love to Chinni(Mirnaa Menon). Why did Nani change his plans all of a sudden? What happened to Chinni? Whom did Nani marry in the end? That forms the rest of the story?

Plus Points:

When compared to the recent duds of Aadi, Crazy Fellow is a lot better. Aadi makes a transformation and looks quite handsome in this film. His new hairstyle and young look suits him quite well. Generally, he is more hyper with his performances but here he has given a settled performance and is quite good in the film.

Digangana Suryavanshi gets a meaty role and performs well in all the emotional scenes. The film has a very good supporting cast and they perform superbly. Anish Kuruvilla plays the hero’s brother and he was decent. Mirnaa Menon was okay as the second lead.

Crazy Fellow has two key characters in the form of Tamil actor Vinodini and Narra Sreenu. They are the best part and do well. All the scenes between Narra Sreenu and hero Aadi are quite fun to watch on screen. Tasty Teja was also neat in his small role.

One of the best parts of the film is the comedy which keeps the film light hearted. The basic suspense and love triangle has been executed quite well. The second half is better when compared to the first half.

Minus Points:

The film has a very predictable storyline and some repeated scenes in the first half. The manner in which the hero is introduced looks a bit over the top.

Also, the emotions should have been more strong when it came to romance. The second heroine and how she falls in love with the hero looks rushed. A more subtle narration from the director would have made the love story more impactful.

The film has several scenes which have been showcased in many films earlier. The first half is a tad slow and only during the break time it makes some sense.

Technical Aspects:

Music of the film is pretty good and RR Dhruvan has done a good job. The production values are also quite good. The BGM is nice and the dialogues are fun. The camerawork is neat and so was the editing.

Coming to the director Phani Krishna, he has done a decent job with the film. His narration is light hearted and he has handled his characters in a good way and made the film quite passable to watch.

Verdict:

On the whole, Crazy Fellow is a light hearted triangular love story which has okay comedy and good performances. The film starts on a slow note and has predictable scenes. But when compared to Aadi’s previous films, Crazy Fellow is a lot better and can be given a shot for its passable narration.
