B A Raju is considered as one of the top PRO’s in the industry. He has also produced a few films in his career and on the occasion of his birthday today, we caught up with him for a brief interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q)Your magazine is quite successful, what made you launch a website ?
I have been the editor of the super hit magazine from the past 23 years. To keep up with the current trend, I decided to launch my website industryhit.com now.
Q)Why did it take you so long to produce a film ?
After the success of Lovely, me and my director wife Jaya always wanted to do a love story. A lot of work was going on regarding the subject of our film and now we are ready to go on floors.
Q)What is your new film all about ?
We have named the film Vaisakham and it will star mostly newcomers in lead roles. It is a feel good love story which will impress every section of the audience big time.
Q)What is your professional relation with your wife Jaya. Do you guys fight about the films you do ?
Right from the day one, we are well prepared in every aspect of film making and try to finish the film in limited budget. The only place we have creative difference is during the editing table. Everything we do is only for the betterment of the film.
Q)Why didn’t you take up direction ?
Direction is a pretty tough task to do. You need to have control over 24 crafts of film making and need a lot of patience to guide everyone. After seeing my wife work so hard, I decided not to do direct.
Q)What kind of films are you going to produce in the future ?
Not only in my banner, I am going co-produce films with other production houses as well. The discussions are currently on and I will reveal more details soon.
