The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce recently held a crucial meeting under the leadership of President D. Suresh Babu to discuss the ongoing issues between producers and exhibitors.

Speaking after the discussions, senior producer C. Kalyan announced that the chamber has decided to form a 15 member committee to take forward the reform process. The committee consists of 5 producers, 5 distributors, and 5 exhibitors to ensure equal representation from all sectors of the industry.

C. Kalyan stated that the industry is officially moving toward a percentage based revenue system for theaters, replacing the old fixed rental model, which has become difficult for many single screen theater owners to sustain in the current market.

He also said the discussions were held in a positive manner and that the revenue sharing issue is being linked with other industry concerns to arrive at a complete solution. According to C. Kalyan, the pending issues are expected to be resolved within the next 1 to 2 months.

The move is expected to help upcoming releases like Peddi proceed smoothly while protecting the interests of all sectors in the Telugu film industry.
