Ever since Adipurush, an epic pan-India mythological magnum opus, was announced last year, there has been a strong buzz that Bollywood beauty Kriti Sanon will be playing goddess Sita opposite Prabhas. Till date, the makers have been tight-lipped about Kriti’s inclusion in the cast.

Now, ending the months long speculations, Kriti took to Twitter this morning and shared a couple of pictures in which she was posing with Prabhas and Adipurush’s director Om Raut. “A new journey begins..One of my most special ones.. overwhelmed to be a part of Adipurush,” Kriti tweeted, as she joined the film’s shooting in Mumbai.

In Adipurush, Prabhas plays Lord Rama and Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan plays the Demon King Lankesh (Ravan). The film is slated for release on August 11, 2022.

Yesterday, hero Nagarjuna took to Twitter and made a pleasantly surprising announcement. He revealed that his “dear friend” Megastar Chiranjeevi will be launching the theatrical trailer for his upcoming film, Wild Dog, at 4:05 PM today.

And all eyes are on Chiru’s comments on his long-time friend and professional competitor, Nagarjuna. It’s well known that both Chiru and Nag share a good rapport with each other. The Megastar chipping in with his support to Nag ahead of the latter’s film release is a heartening gesture.

Incidentally, Matinee Entertainments’ Niranjan Reddy has bankrolled Wild Dog. He is also producing Chiru’s ongoing social drama, Acharya. So, fans can again expect to see Chiru and Nag coming together during Acharya’s release. Wild Dog, directed by debutant Solomon, is gearing up for release on April 2nd.

A film in the combination of Tamil star Vijay and young director Nelson Dilipkumar was officially announced a couple of weeks ago. The film is expected to go on the floors very soon.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that Vijay will be seen as a con artist in the movie. News is also that Vijay will be seen in a complete makeover look in the movie.

Being bankrolled by Sun Pictures banner, this as-yet-untitled film has its music composed by Anirudh.
