Vikram, the action thriller in the combination of Tamil stalwart Kamal Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is being eagerly awaited by the duo’s fans. The film’s announcement teaser left fans excited for the real treat. Being produced by Kamal himself under Raaj Kamal International banner, the film’s regular shoot is expected to commence from April.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz in Kollywood circles reveals that Lokesh Kanagaraj has approached star choreographer turned actor and director Lawrence for the chief antagonist’s role in Vikram. Interestingly, Lawrence is a huge fan of Rajinikanth and his comments on Kamal created a huge controversy a couple of years ago. It’ll be interesting to see if Lawrence gives his nod to Lokesh or not.

Mahanati director Nag Ashwin is turning producer with the soon-to-release comic caper, Jathi Ratnalu. The film’s pre-release event was held in Warangal last night. Speaking at the event, Nag Ashwin said that they held the film for 2 years just to create a mass laugh riot and lovely memories in theaters.

Talking about the film’s hero Naveen Polishetty, Nag said that Naveen is someone who makes his characters (be it Jogipet in Jathi Ratnalu, Acid in Chichchore or Agent in ASSA) look totally real similar to Vijay Deverakonda. “Naveen and Vijay are like two sides of one coin,” Nag Ashwin said.

Jathi Ratnalu also features Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna and Faria Abdullah in lead roles. Directed by KV Anudeep, Jathi Ratnalu is slated for release on March 11.

Young hero Naveen Polishetty’s Jathi Ratnalu is gearing up for release on March 11. The film’s pre-release event was held in Warangal last night. Speaking on the occasion, Naveen first recollected his struggling days and how he and his good friend and the event’s chief guest Vijay Deverakonda realised their dreams of becoming an actor.

Talking about Jathi Ratnalu, Naveen said that the makers of this comic caper wanted to see audiences’ smiles in the cinemas and that’s why they did not accept any OTT deals and decided to release the film in cinemas first. “COVID and lockdown have caused numerous sorrows in each and everyone’s lives. But only a smile has the power to make us forget our sorrows and give a hope. Jathi Ratnalu is that laugh riot which will make you smile,” Naveen said.

Also starring Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna and Faria Abdullah in lead roles, Jathi Ratnalu has been directed by KV Anudeep and produced by Nag Ashwin. Radhan is the film’s music composer.
