It’s well known that popular stars Nithiin, Tamannaah and Nabha Natesh are acting in the Telugu remake of the National award-winning Bollywood thriller, Andhadhun. While Nithiin is reprising Ayushmann Khurrana’s role from the original, Tamannaah and Nabha are essaying Tabu and Radhika Apte respectively. The film marks Nithiin’s 30th project in his career.

Now, the makers of this exciting remake have just announced that this as-yet-untitled film will be releasing on June 11. The film is being directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and produced by Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy under Sreshth Movies banner. The film’s shooting is currently underway in and around Hyderabad. Mahati Swara Sagar is the music composer.

Young debutants Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty’s much-talked-about romantic drama, Uppena, has packed a solid punch at the box-office in its first week. Especially, the film has had a pretty good run across the Nizam region.

On its 7th day, Uppena collected a decent share of Rs 70 lakhs in the Nizam region. The film’s total cost week share in this region is Rs 8.11 crore. These numbers for a film featuring debutants are leaving the trade circles surprised.

With as many as 4 new movies releasing today, it remains to be seen if Uppena will manage to overcome the tide and continue its steady run at the ticket counters in the coming days.

Noted Tollywood cinematographer Kabir Lal is well known for his splendid visuals in Chiranjeevi’s Andarivadu and Nagarjuna’s Style. He is also a name to reckon with in Bollywood. He had shot Shah Rukh Khan’s Pardes, Aishwarya Rai’s Taal and Hrithik Roshan’s debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Yaadein.

Now, Kabir Lal is all set to turn director with a pan-India film. Tollywood actor Kamal Kamaraju and actress Esha Chawla will be playing the main leads in the film, titled ‘Agochara’. The film is an official remake of the acclaimed Spanish thriller, Julia’s Eyes. The shooting is currently underway in Uttarakhand. Lovely World Production banner is bankrolling the film.
