Young hero Naga Shaurya, who recently tasted a blockbuster success with Chalo, is coming up with yet another fun entertainer, titled Nartanasala. The film is scheduled for an August 30th release. On this occasion, we had an exclusive chat with him. Here is the transcript.
Q) Following the success of Chalo, are you nervous about Nartanasala’s release?
A) Absolutely not. We know what we did and how the film came out, I’m quite confident about the output. Now, I’m eagerly waiting for the audience response.
Q) Tell us about your role?
A) I will be seen as a guy who stands for women and protects them when there is a problem. My character will have slight gay shades.
Q) Post the success of Chalo, you are doing this challenging role, Didn’t you feel it’s a risk?
A) No. While listening to the script itself I enjoyed my character and felt that audience will also enjoy it. Moreover, as an actor, I should be flexible to do any kind of roles. So I did not think much before accepting a gay role.
Q) Tell us about your director?
A) We are introducing a new guy named Srinivas. He narrated this script to me in 2013. But due to prior commitments, the project didn’t take off then. He is a very focused and hardworking person. To be frank, I feel very comfortable working with new directors and would love to continue it in future too.
Q) What major difference did you notice while working under your home banner and other production houses?
A) The amount of hard work I put in for every movie is the same whether it is our banner or outside one. The only difference is that I completely involve right from the pre-production stage in my banner. This is not possible for outside banners.
Q) Are you planning to do films with other heroes under your production house?
A) Yeah. We do have the plan, but everything depends on the script. If the script demands a particular hero, then we are ready to go ahead with them.
Q) What are your next projects?
A) Next, I’m doing a film titled Nari Nari Naduma Murari under Bhavya Creations banner. Later, we are launching yet another director Ramana Teja from our Ira Creations banner. Apart from these, I will be doing a film for my first producer Sai Korrapati.
