Allu Sirish’s new movie Urvasivo Rakshasivo is up for a grand theatrical release tomorrow worldwide. Ahead of that, we caught up with the director Rakesh Sashii for a brief chat. Here is the transcript.
How did you approach Allu Sirish?
Allu Sirish and I have been in touch for more than 6 years and I got a call from Allu Aravind sir. He is the one who pitched the idea of this film and I developed it further. I thought Allu Sirish would fit the lead role perfectly and approached him. He gave a nod immediately and it happened.
Tell us about Urvasivo Rakshasivo?
It’s a story that deals with the ideology and behaviour of the youth in the present society. We tackled the point in a funny manner and I assure you that everyone, including family audiences, can watch this film without any doubt.
What about the overdose of romantic scenes?
We included romantic scenes as the story demanded so. I also guarantee that there is no vulgarity in the movie and everyone can watch and enjoy the flick.
Working experience with Allu Sirish?
We have had a great bond for years. He changed himself a lot for the movie. He even did rehearsals for scenes to get the best output. Off camera, he is a good human being and a friend as well.
Tell us about Anu Emmanuel ?
She is my first choice when I think of the story. I strongly believed that she would justify the role and as expected she aced it. Anu has a separate style and body language, and everyone will love her in this movie.
Working experience with Allu Aravind?
Since the inception of the story, Allu Aravind sir supported me all the way. He is the first producer who appreciated my previous movie Vijetha and offered me this movie. He is a nice personality and Bunny Vas also gave me whatever the film required. He became a good friend now (smiles).
Future Projects?
For now, I have signed no new movie. Discussions are ongoing for a couple of movies and there might be a chance of doing another movie under GA2 Pictures. I will announce the details later.
