Sai Kishore, who worked as an assistant to Sreenu Vaitla for many movies, is making his directional debut with Allari Naresh’s James Bond. On the eve of the film’s release on the 24th of this month, we caught up with him for an exclusive interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q) Tell us about your journey in the film industry ?
I was born in Hyderabad and I have been so passionate about movies right from my school days. I started my career as an assistant director and worked under Sreenu Vaitla and YVS Chowdary. Finally, I bagged a chance as a director with this movie.
Q) How did you convince Allari Naresh for this movie ?
Allari Naresh immediately gave his nod as soon as I narrated the full script to him. He had full confidence on my script and gave me freedom during the shoot. I added a good bit of entertaining elements which will impress all sections of the audience.
Q) Tell us briefly about the film ?
This movie is an out and out entertainer with a different subject and a unique backdrop. The makers have not compromised on the production values and Allari Naresh’s performance will be the major highlight of this film.
Q) Tell us about the title and the interesting tag line
A) The story of ‘James Bond’ is all about an ordinary man who marries a lady don and what consequences he faces after his marriage. Although we gave an interesting tag line, it is not a heroine oriented film. Both characters have equal importance in this movie. After considering a lot of titles, we felt that James Bond is the apt title for the film.
Q) How was it working with Allari Naresh ?
A) I learnt a lot of things from him and in fact, I am very lucky to get a chance to direct him. Although this is my debut, he gave me a lot of freedom and helped me in bringing the best out of me.
Q) Tell us about the heroine Sakshi ?
After considering a lot of names, we signed Sakshi Chowdary for this role. She did a fabulous job and her character will be a special one in this movie.
Q) What are the major highlights of this movie ?
A) Entertainment is the major highlight in this movie. Audience will thoroughly enjoy the film. The production values and the scenic locales in the movie are the other major highlights.
Q) Have you signed any other project after this film ?
A) No, I haven’t signed any other film. I will announce my next project only after the release of James Bond.
