Young hero Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow. On the other hand, his new film, Alludu Adhurs, is gearing up for a January 15 release. On this occasion, we had a telephonic interview with Sreenivas. Here is the transcript.

Q) Firstly, wishing you a Happy New Year. How did you celebrate?

A) Happy New Year to you too. Yeah, right now, I’m in Kashmir for a song shoot. So celebrated the New Year with my cast and crew.

Q) You will also be celebrating your birthday on January 3rd. Any birthday resolutions?

A) Nothing much. I always enjoy working for films and this year, I’m literally doing it. So no resolutions. I should continue the hard work and gain the audiences’ trust.

Q) How did you spend the lockdown period?

A) I enjoyed being with family for more than two months. I played a lot of games and had a complete family time during the lockdown.

Q) Tell us about Alludu Adhurs?

A) It’s a complete fun entertainer. From start to end, the film will provide hilarious entertainment.

Q) How is the post-Covid atmosphere on sets?

A) It is completely a new experience compared to the pre-lockdown scenario. Yeah, we are shooting for the film by taking all the required Covid-19 precautions.

Q) Working experience with current sensation Sonu Sood?

A) It was always a good experience working with him. He is very grounded as a person and we both share a good rapport. He is the same person even now.

Q) About your director Santhosh Srinivas?

A) Santhosh Srinivas is like our family member. He gave a superhit to our banner in the form of Kandireega. In Alludu Adhurs, you can experience a double dose of entertainment from him.

Q) Did any OTT platforms approach the team for a direct release?

A) Yeah, a few noted platforms did approach us with some tempting offers. But we refused to sell the film because Alludu Adhurs is one film which everyone should watch and experience in the cinema hall.

Q) As the film’s release date is locked for Sankranthi, do you think it is the right time to release the film with the fifty percent occupancy rule?

A) Yeah, we were having some doubts regarding the theatre occupancy. But we are very confident about the film’s content. Let’s see what happens.

Q) About the heroines in Alludu Adhurs?

A) Both Nabha Natesh and Anu Emmanuel did their part very well. There is a twist in the heroine character which will thrill the audience for sure.

Q) Taking Bigg Boss fame Monal Gajjar for the special song?

A) Nothing is pre-planned. We were looking for a noted face for the special song and one of our production team members gave the idea to rope in Monal. So we approached her and she said yes.

Q) About your Bollywood debut?

A) I’m really excited and can’t wait to start shooting for the film. Remaking Rajamouli sir’s film itself is like a privilege for me and adding to it, my first director VV Vinayak is going to direct it. So eagerly waiting to go on the sets from February.

Q) Any new projects in the pipeline?

A) Nothing as of now. I’m just focusing on Alludu Adhurs’ promotions and Chatrapathi remake.
