The Raj Tarun-Riddhi Kumar starrer, Lover is slated for a release this Thursday. On this occasion, we had a brief chat session with the film’s presenter Dil Raju. Here is the transcript.

Q) How did this project materialize?

After watching Annish Krishna’s debut film Ala Ela, I asked him to come up with a good storyline. In 2016 he came with this theme and after developing it into a full-fledged script, this project finally went on floors.

Q) You are introducing your brother’s son Harshith as the producer of this film. Tell us about it?

Harshith grew up in the industry and was attracted towards films. He worked as an executive producer for a few of our films. The moment he told me that he is ready to handle a film on his own, we gave him Lover along with a certain budget and here we are with the release. He has handled the project completely right from the day it started to the release now.

Q) What is Lover all about?

The basic theme is very simple. Raj Tharun is an orphan who falls in love with Riddhi and goes to extreme lengths to win her heart. After an entertaining first half, the film’s second half shifts to faction backdrop with an interesting interval twist. We are satisfied with the output and are eager to see how the audience will receive it.

Q) Tell us about Raj Tharun and Riddhi Kumar?

Raj Tharun is a perfect fit for his role and will be seen in a new look in this film. As the songs have clicked quite well, there is a good hype for the film. Coming to the heroine Riddhi Kumar, she has done a good job with her performance and shares a good chemistry with Raj Tharun.

Q) Tell us about your ongoing films in SVC banner?

We are ready with Srinivasa Kalyanam which is slated to hit the screens on August 9th. Next is Ram’s Hello Guru Premakosame which will surely click at the box office. Next year we are starting with a bang as F2 will release on Sankranthi. Then, there is Mahesh25 which will come out on April 5, 2018.
