Kalyan Ram is ready with his new film Naa Nuvve which is up for a release tomorrow. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

How was it doing a romantic film for the first time?

There is nothing called a mass or a romantic film. In your career, one needs to keep on working continuously and do different films. The result is not in our hands and I am very excited to see how the audience is going to receive me in a different role.

How was it working with a legend like P C Sreeram?

After watching Geetanjali, I was mesmerized to another level. Seeing P C Sreeram’s work, I used to wonder, will I ever get a chance to work with a legend like him. Luckily, things have happened with Naa Nuvve and the visuals of the film look great.

Working experience with Jayendra?

Jayendra is a very experienced director and he helped me a lot during the making of this film. He taught me how to showcase subtle variations and expression as the subject of the film is quite romantic. I had a great time working under his direction.

What was the best compliment that you got for your new look?

After watching the film, my son told me that I looked the best to date in this film. This was the best ever compliment for me and gave me a lot of confidence going ahead in life.

About your role in the film?

I play a person who has completed his Ph.D. and is looking for a job abroad. My character has a little ego and how he falls in love and what happens to him forms the rest of the story.

Your chemistry with Tamannah?

It was lovely working with her as she is a very professional actress. She always comes on time and does what is required on the sets. We share a beautiful chemistry in the film which you all will love for sure.

Tell us about your producers?

I had a wonderful team who looked after me completely. Both Kiran and Vijay are very dedicated producers and I need to especially thank Mahesh Koneru for bringing this project to me.

Future Projects?

My new film with Guhan has completed 50% of its shoot. I have yet another project which will be directed by Virinchi Varma. It will soon be finalized.
