Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki is up for a release this Friday and on this occasion, we caught up with the heroine Nazariya for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
What attracted you to this film?
When I start listening to scripts, I am least bothered about the language. When Vivek came to me with this film, I loved the script as it has comedy, romance, and emotion which will stay with you even after you go home.
What made you stay away from films for a long time?
I started out as a child artist and did so much work. After I got married, I felt I should concentrate on my family. That is the reason, the gap came and when I came across this script, I grabbed it.
What was the most challenging part of doing Ante Sundaraniki?
Leela Thomas is completely different from who I am in real life. She is quite stubborn and yet is so innocent. She has different phases in life and it was quite challenging to portray the part of Leela.
Working experience with Nani?
Nani has absolutely no airs of a superstar. He is a hands-on actor and is involved in every part of the project. He made me feel so comfortable and that is the reason, our chemistry has come out so well. He is superb in the film.
Fahad’s influence on your career?
He has been a great influence on my life. In fact, he used to push me to listen to scripts and do more films. I am so happy with his success and feel that I am his lucky charm. We do discuss our respective projects but ultimately make our own decisions.
About director Vivek Athreya?
He is one director whom I will give dates at any time. He is such a very honest director and made me feel so good on the sets. From now on, I will watch all his films first-day first show as he will make big projects from now on.
About the OTT craze these days?
OTT has helped actors in a big way. Looks at Fahadh Faasil’s career. His latest stardom and craze were due to his films coming to OTT and many watching it. But personally, the big screen experience is the ultimate.
Any actor in Telugu that you want to work with?
I am quite greedy in that matter and want to work with all the big stars like Ram Charan and NTR. I also like Satyadev’s work and have no issues working with newcomers as well.
