Godse is up for a release tomorrow and on this occasion, we caught up with hero Satyadev for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
What attracted you to this film?
When I listened to this story, I personally felt I could pull off such a key role. But I had whether the story will be accepted by the audience or not. But the manner in which Gopi narrated the story, I felt confident that we can pull it off.
What kind of homework did you do for the role of Godse?
Personally, I did not do any homework for this film. We are seeing so many crimes in society and how it is hampering the common man. What happens when a person revolts against the system is the whole story. As I was involved in the script right from the beginning, I could pull it off.
What are the highlights of the film?
The last forty minutes of the film are going to be highly entertaining with solid action episodes. The manner in which the script is narrated with tension and solid emotions will engross the audience in a big way.
Working with director Gopi Ganesh after Bluff Master?
He had worked so hard with Bluff Master. That is the reason, I had so much confidence in him. The way he has questioned issues in society and the manner in which he has given solutions to these problems is so well narrated by him.
Working with the likes of Aishwarya Lekshmi?
We don’t have many scenes with her face to face. But she is in touch with me through a digital medium and keeps interacting with me all the time. She too has done a solid job with her key role and is a solid performer.
About your producer C Kalyan’s reaction after watching the film?
He loved the film and promised that he will do one more film with me. He has done everything the film needed and I am very happy with his production house?
Tell us about your Hindi debut with Akshay Kumar?
It is a dream come true moment for me to act with the likes of Akshay Kumar. I cannot speak about my role but we have done with the shooting part and more details will be out soon.
Are you happy with the commercial status as a hero?
I am getting there slowly with each film. I feel many films down the line, one Friday will change things for me. I know the critics appreciate my work but any actor’s goal is to achieve commercial success and one day I will get it for sure.
