Victory Venkatesh is gearing up to entertain audiences with the fun thriller Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The movie, directed by Anil Ravipudi, features Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Dil Raju produced this flick. Ahead of the release on January 14, Venkatesh interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

How excited are you for the release?

I am happy to come up with a clean entertainer for the festival. There is also a crime element. I enjoyed the whole shooting process. Everything is looking good. Most of my films that were released for Sankranthi performed well, and I hope the same will happen for Sankranthiki Vasthunam as well.

You are so energetic in the promotional events. Tell us about it.

That happened naturally. I liked the music pretty much. I like dancing and was pumped up after listening to a few tunes. The director and two heroines brought full positive vibes. We wanted the promotions to look unique, and the team is very happy that people are enjoying our promotional campaign.

You crooned a song in the film. Whose idea was it?

I heard that song around 2 in the morning and started vibing to it even without my knowledge. There is some crazy energy in that song, and hence, I told my director that I would sing it. As the lyrics were in English, it became easy for me.

What element excited you the most in the film?

The story revolves around an ex-cop, an ex-girlfriend, and an excellent wife. This itself is very interesting, and I felt this will be a minimum-guarantee film. Anil and I delivered hits previously. We share a friendly relation. Performance-wise, I tried something different regarding comedy. Scenes will look fresh. The film came out well, and I would like to do more films with Anil Ravipudi.

Will hits and flops affect you?

We should make sure to give our best. The result is not in our hands. Hits and flops are decided by the audience. I won’t take much stress things that are not in my control.

Tell us about your upcoming projects.

Rana Naidu 2 might come in March. The dubbing works are completed. I am holding discussions with Suresh Productions, Sithara Entertainments, Mythri Movie Makers, and Vyjayanthi Movies but nothing has been finalized yet.
