A few days ago, the latest Hollywood horror thriller, The Mummy, directed by Lee Cronin and produced by James Wan and Jason Blum, made its digital debut through PVOD outside India. Now, the movie has finally arrived in the Indian OTT space.
Not one, but two platforms serve as the home for this hit movie. Amazon Prime Video and BMS Stream have made it available, but the catch is that one has to pay a rental fee of Rs. 499 on Prime Video and Rs. 549 on the BookMyShow streaming platform. This pricing is quite high for a digital release, so if the movie is still playing in your nearest theaters, people should definitely catch it on the big screen for a much better experience.
Another big drawback, apart from the steep pricing, is the current unavailability of Telugu and other regional languages. Although the theatrical dubbed versions were released in cinemas, the OTT platforms do not have those audio tracks available yet. Therefore, we may have to wait for some more time for the regional versions to drop.
The film stars Laia Costa, Jack Reynor, Veronica Falcón, and May Calamawy in pivotal roles. If you are comfortable watching it in English, you can head over to the platforms and rent it today. Stay tuned for more interesting OTT updates.
