Of late, a series of exciting updates on Ram Charan’s highly-anticipated 16th film are leaving all the Mega fans thrilled. A few days ago, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor’s father and senior producer Boney Kapoor revealed that his daughter will be playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan in the movie.

Now, the makers of RC16 have officially announced that ace cinematographer Rathnavelu has been roped in for this much-awaited project. The announcement has been made on the occasion of Rathnavelu’s birthday. Rathnavelu and the film’s director, Buchi Babu Sana, are currently busy scouting for the right locations in the North Coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. Buchi Babu had worked with Rathnavelu when he assisted his guru and maverick filmmaker Sukumar. Given Rathnavelu’s caliber and his impressive body of work, it’s needless to say that RC16 will surely be a visual feast on the big screen.

Touted as an intense rural drama with a sports backdrop, RC16 is being jointly bankrolled on Vriddhi Cinemas, Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers banners. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is scoring the soundtrack for this pan-India biggie.
