The latest news reveals that the Telangana government has approved a ticket rate hike for Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, and bookings will be opened shortly. Unlike AP, the hike has been allowed only for three days in Telangana. The premiere shows will be priced at Rs. 600/-.

For regular shows, ticket prices have gone up by Rs. 50/- (including GST) in single screens and Rs. 100/- (including GST) in multiplexes. With this revision, the new fares are set at Rs. 395/- in multiplexes and Rs. 227/- in single screens.

While the AP government permitted the hike for 10 days, Revanth Reddy’s government restricted the hikes only till the weekend. This is surely good news for movie buffs, as ticket prices will return to normal from the first working day, allowing more audiences to watch the film.

The Telangana government permitted ticket hikes to the biggie with the condition that the team should give 20% of the incremental revenue to the ‘Movie Artists’ Welfare Association.’
