Tollywood actor Venu Thottempudi is gearing up to debut on the OTT platform with the upcoming horror series Athidhi, directed by YG Bharath. The series, created by Praveen Sattaru, is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 19, 2023.
Recent revelations have shed light on the director’s initial plans, as he originally conceived Athidhi as a feature film and contemplated casting Kannada superstar Upendra in the lead role. However, as circumstances evolved, the director eventually cast Venu Thottempudi for the part.
This six-episode series boasts an ensemble cast, including Avantika Mishra, Aditi Gautam, Ravi Varma, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Bhadram, Chanakya Teja, Gayatri Chaganti, Pooja, and others in pivotal roles. Kapil has composed the music for the series.
