Released worldwide on April 26, Avengers: Endgame, the latest outing from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had wiped off all the existing box-office records by grossing over $500 million in its opening weekend. Now, Endgame is inching closer to Avatar’s all-time highest grossing movie record.
Until June 16, Avengers: Endgame collected a worldwide gross of $2.743 billion. Endgame is just $45 million away from surpassing Avatar’s $2.788B lifetime gross and it will smash the record in a couple of weeks. Avatar, James Cameron’s visual extravaganza, released in 2009 and continued to reign supreme over the box-office till date.
