Tamil star Suriya’s next outing will be the eagerly awaited Aakasam Nee Haddura. The film is titled Soorarai Pottru in Tamil and it is touted as a semi-biopic on Air Deccan founder Gopinath.
It’s been earlier reported that Soorarai Pottru will be remade in Hindi. Noted Bollywood producer Guneet Monga, who’s jointly bankrolling the Tamil version, had acquired the Hindi remake rights. Apparently, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is currently in talks to reprise Suriya in the film’s Hindi version.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, Aakasam Nee Haddura is co-produced by Suriya himself. The film is ready for release and the makers are waiting for the theaters to reopen.
