The star actor’s rustic makeover and innovative Cricket shot have become the talk of the town with widespread appreciation. The Cricket shot became so famous that IPL teams have been using it on their social media handles.
In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Buchi Babu shared some fascinating details about Peddi. “The film is a combination of real and fictional tales from a village. I always aspire to tell stories that are rooted because I feel that’s where more people can resonate with the core emotion and incidents. Moreover, a rooted story can generate great intensity and has the power to influence,” said Buchi Babu Sana.
The Uppena director penned this story during the COVID pandemic when uncertainty loomed over Uppena’s theatrical release. The director added, “After writing the story, I narrated it to Sukumar Garu, who suggested that I narrate it to Ram Charan Garu. When I was narrating the story, Charan Garu was listening intensely, and I could feel the vibe the story was generating. He okayed the script in the very first sitting itself with minor corrections. And the rest, as they say, is history.”
