Akshay Kumar’s latest outing, Kesari Chapter 2, is performing decently at the box office. By today, the movie will cross Rs. 50 crores nett mark domestically. Considering the ultra-positive reviews and word of mouth, the collections should have been much bigger, but given Akshay’s recent form, the numbers can be termed respectable.
According to a recent report in Pink Villa, this Karan Singh Tyagi’s directorial will not premiere digitally anytime soon. Generally, a Hindi film makes its way to the OTT nearly two months after its theatrical release. However, the latest report suggests that the historical courtroom drama film will take over two months to arrive on OTT. Jio Hotstar holds the post-theatrical streaming rights.
Akshay Kumar portrayed Sankaran Nair, who played a key role in the aftermath of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Ananya Panday and Madhavan played other lead roles. Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Amit Sial, and others essayed supporting roles. The film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
