Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is coming to the big screens on February 14. The versatile actor is aggressively promoting this historical action film, directed by Laxman Utekar. Rashmika plays the female lead, whereas Akshaye Khanna portrays the ruthless Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
This highly anticipated film depicts the relentless pursuit of Sambhaji Maharaj and Aurangzeb for one another. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky Kaushal explained how he approached his role. The actor said, “During the shoot, Akshaye Khanna sir and I never interacted. Given the intensity of our roles, there was no room for casual interactions.”
Vicky Kaushal added, “We couldn’t just sit together, sip tea, and then jump into our roles. I didn’t talk with Akshaye Khanna sir even while being on the sets. The interaction didn’t happen naturally, but I hope to talk with him after the film’s release.”
Laxman Utekar said, “They never met in person before the shoot. They both exchanged no greetings or pleasantries. Vicky and Akshaye Khanna interacted only during the shoot, and that too as their respective characters. Both of them were so immersed in their roles, they didn’t even want to see each other’s faces.”
