Controversial Tamil Film Bad Girl Set to Hit Hindi Screens on This Date

Kollywood’s controversial movie Bad Girl, featuring Anjali Sivaraman, hit theaters on September 5, 2025. From the very first trailer, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your typical film. Debut director Varsha Bharath didn’t hold back, and the buzz, sometimes heated and sometimes curious, followed the movie right into theaters.

Now, the film is crossing linguistic borders. Dubbed in Hindi, it’s slated to release on September 26, 2025. Flip Films will handle distribution across the Hindi-speaking belt. For a film that has been a talking point in the south, this is its first big test up north.

Critics have been kind. Anjali Sivaraman’s performance gets repeated nods, and the story’s boldness is hard to ignore. Yet, the Tamil box office tells a different story. Despite the applause, Bad Girl didn’t rake in big numbers, squeezed out by other heavy releases.

Produced by Vetri Maaran’s Grass Root Film Company and presented by Anurag Kashyap, the film now faces a new challenge. Can it charm the Hindi audience the way it impressed critics? Or will it remain a film people talk about more than watch? Only time and ticket sales will tell.
