Popular producer Ekta Kapoor has confirmed that plans are underway for The Dirty Picture 2. In a recent interview, she revealed that an official announcement about the sequel is expected by the end of this year.
The first part, starring Vidya Balan, was based on the life of Silk Smitha and received considerable attention for its bold subject and powerful performances.
However, the sequel will reportedly explore the story of a different actress who is also a controversial heroine from the past decade.
This makes the project particularly interesting, as audiences are eager to know who will play the lead role and who will direct the film. More details are awaited.
