After directing back-to-back intense action thrillers, director Sailesh Kolanu has now chosen a different route by opting to helm a simple romantic drama. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the film’s title was announced today along with a special glimpse. The movie is titled Emo Emo Idhi, and it stars Roshan Meka and Preity Mukundhan in the lead roles.
The glimpse is filled with breezy visuals and a conversation between a son and his mother. Devadarshini plays Roshan’s mother, and she asks why her son is still single despite his smart looks. The hero tells his mother that lately, situations have become very tough for men, explaining recent shocking incidents where husbands were brutally murdered by their wives.
He also talks about the difficulties in modern-day relationships, mentioning terms like benching, situationship, flirtationship, red flag, and green flag, among others. Finally, we are introduced to the female lead, Preity Mukundhan, who owns a coffee shop. The lead pair falls for each other instantly as they exchange looks, and the impact is heightened by Hesham Abdul Wahab’s background score.
The rom-com entertainer is scheduled to hit the big screens during Dussehra 2026. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are producing the movie under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
