Varanasi has gained global attention after the team released an approximately four-minute glimpse from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film starring Mahesh Babu.
Since yesterday, several pictures have been circulating online claiming that the glimpse was displayed on the Las Vegas Sphere, which is known as the world’s largest LED structure.
Fans have been celebrating the idea, calling it a historic moment for Telugu cinema, but the truth is that nothing of this sort ever happened.
The images being shared are entirely fake and generated using artificial intelligence (AI), and there has been no official screening or promotion of Varanasi at the Sphere.
The film is still in production with Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and other notable actors, produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeyan, with music by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani.
Mounted on a massive budget, the action-adventure is slated for a 2027 release, though it remains to be seen whether the team maintains that schedule.
