Funky ends as a disaster, out of several screens

Funky has almost wrapped up its theatrical run and has been removed from many screens across the Telugu states already.

The comdey caper failed to create any impact at the box office and reportedly did not even cross the ₹10 crore mark, which has come as a disappointment to trade circles.

Weekday occupancy dropped drastically after the opening weekend, and the film could not recover despite decent pre-release buzz. With this result, Vishwak Sen adds another flop to his recent track record.

All eyes are now on his upcoming project Cult, which he will also direct. Fans are hoping the actor-filmmaker bounces back strong with this ambitious venture.
