Amid high expectations, Ram Charan and Shankar’s high-budget pan-India political drama, Game Changer, released yesterday (Jan 10) in cinemas worldwide. The film, also starring Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in a lead role, registered a dull to decent opening at the box office across the world.
In the Ceded region, Game Changer collected close to Rs 6 crore share (incl GST) on its opening day. This is a slow start, as the film’s Ceded theatrical rights were sold for about Rs 23 crore. However, despite the slow start, Game Changer is expected to pick up pace over the weekend and utilize the festive holidays to the fullest in the upcoming week thanks to the patronage of fans and family audiences.
Ram Charan’s performance and Shankar’s signature grandeur and social drama are the major highlights of Game Changer. Antagonist SJ Suryah’s performance too has been getting a decent response from movie lovers. Thaman has scored the music for this Dil Raju production.
