This Friday, Tollywood had two noted releases, Rama Banam, and Ugram. Gopichand’s Rama Banam was directed by Sriwass, while Vijay Kanakamedala directed Allari Naresh’s Ugram. While Rama Banam is a family entertainer, Ugram is an intense action thriller. Comparatively, the Allari Naresh starrer had better reviews and talk.
Rama Banam collected a gross of 85 lakhs on its first day in Nizam, as per the PR. Out of these 85 lakhs, the nett collections amount to 72 lakhs. On the other hand, Ugram amassed a gross of 44 lakhs and made a nett of 37 lakhs in the Telangana region. It remains to be seen how both films will perform over the weekend.
Dimple Hayathi played the female lead in Rama Banam, which was produced by People Media Factory. Jagapathi Babu and Khushu played other vital roles. Ugram had Malayalam beauty Mirnaa Menon as the female lead. Shatru and Indraja played crucial roles in Ugram.
