Suhas’ latest film Hey Balwanth opened in theatres last Friday. While the promotions built initial curiosity, the film has struggled to impress, with audience and critical responses remaining lukewarm from day one. Shivani Nagaram plays the female lead in this Gopi Atchara directorial.
With the film failing to strike a chord at the box office, the makers have now rolled out Rs. 99 tickets as a desperate bid to revive footfalls. Starting today, several single theaters across the Telugu states will implement the reduced pricing in an attempt to give the film a much-needed push. However, in the absence of strong word of mouth, sustaining momentum could prove to be an uphill battle.
VK Naresh, Sudarshan, Vennela Kishore, Sravanthi Chokarapu, Annapurna, and others appear in supporting roles. The film is produced by B. Narendra Reddy, with music composed by Vivek Sagar.
