Allari Naresh was last seen in the horror film 12A Railway Colony, which failed to impress the audience. The story is provided by Dr. Anil Vishwanath, who delivered blockbusters like Polimera and Polimera 2. Kamakshi Bhaskarla played the female lead, and she was also involved in the writing department.

During Agadha promotions, Kamakshi revealed that the hero and heroine in 12A Railway Colony were initially supposed to be siblings. This was supposed to be the climax twist, but massive changes were made to the script during filming, which the actress felt undermined its impact considerably.

Kamakshi Bhaskarla revealed, “The movie happens from Sai Kumar garu’s point of view. He discovers the truth about the lead pair. There is a dialogue for him which says the hero would have died after knowing the truth anyway. But the entire thing was modified. Hero and heroine love each other without knowing that they are siblings. Whatever we have written is not what people saw. Something else is there in the film. People lately are encouraging bold choices.”

“There were no songs initially. The characterizations and character graphs were very different when we wrote. Things kept changing because of so many people getting involved. I cannot say all these things during interviews. People are now looking for authentic and bold choices, rather than safe bets. Many didn’t want to play the sister role. So, I came forward. But the movie turned out to be something else. We lost out on authenticity,” she concluded.
