Published on Nov 27, 2019 4:40 pm IST

The controversial RGV is back at it again with his new release Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Redlu. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

Do you think the film will release on time?

As of now, I am very confident that the film will release on the speculated time. Controversies and court cases are a part and parcel of films and I am not bothered about them as I am very used to.

What is the film about?

The film is a fun satirical movie on the political proceedings that happened between May 22nd, 2019 to September 2020. The fictional film will also showcase what will happen in the future as well.

What made you have such a controversial title?

I feel that one particular cast came into the picture and dominated the scenario and because of this, I named the film like that. I want to make it clear that I have not highlighted any cast or demeaned them in any which way.

What is your reaction to K A Paul’s case which has been posed against you?

To be frank, I have stopped taking K A Paul taking seriously in life nowadays. I don’t know why he is upset or what he is going to do. I have left such things to his own thinking.

What do you get by doing such controversial films?

There is surely a personal satisfaction in doing such films. The idea behind any issue or incident excites me and that is the reason, I have made this film or my future films as well.

What is your take on the current Maharastra scenario?

The topic is very interesting and makes for a quite interesting subject. I feel that the Sarkar kind of film will be quite perfect that suits the present scenario of Maharastra.
