The Marathi film Sairat is one of the cult classic flicks in Indian cinema. Made with a budget of about 5 crores, the film grossed more than 100 crores at the box office and made heads turn. Sairat was later remade in five languages.
In Hindi, the film was remade as Dhadak, which marked the film debut of gorgeous diva Janhvi Kapoor. Ishaan Khatter played the male lead, and Karan Johar produced it. Commercially Dhadak was a successful venture at the ticket windows. Now rumors sprung up that a sequel will be made to Dhadak.
There were reports which claimed that Dhadak 2 would star Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri. Now Karan Johar took to his Instagram story and wrote that Dharma Productions isn’t producing a film with the title Dhadak 2. With this, all the rumors have been put to rest.
