In Telugu states, Kanguva had a strong opening at the box office, earning just over ₹5 crore. However, the film has become a major target for trolls.
The person facing the most criticism is the music director DSP. His background score and re-recording have been widely criticized for being excessively loud, prompting numerous complaints from viewers.
In Tamil Nadu, audiences have been particularly harsh, expressing their disappointment with DSP’s work and Suriya’s decision to participate in the project. While both have faced backlash, DSP is bearing the brunt of the trolling.
Reports suggest that the makers have corrected the re-recording issues, but it appears too late as the damage has already been done. Siva directed Kanguva.
