Thoofan has been in headlines for various reasons and has also been surrounded by several controversies. However the movie has successfully crossed all the hurdles and is releasing on a grand scale on 6th September. Speaking on the occasion director has revealed some interesting facts. When quizzed about his decision to cast Ram Charan he said “There are very few heroes in Bollywood who can play the character of an angry young man. Somehow I had the chance to watch Magadheera and I was blown away with Ram Charan’s performance in action sequences. That is when I have decided that he will be the hero in my film”. He further said Chiranjeevi has seen the rushes recently and appreciated him. In case anybody approaches him to do a Telugu film he said he is ready to direct a Telugu film.
