Superstar Mahesh Babu had made his Kollywood debut with AR Murugadoss’ Tamil-Telugu bilingual film, Spyder. Unfortunately, the film ended up being a colossal failure in both the languages. However, Spyder has created a unique record for any Tollywood star in Tamil.
Spyder’s Tamil version had its world TV premiere on Sun TV last Sunday. The film registered 10.4 TRPs from the premiere. This is higher than Baahubali 2’s 10.33 TRPs. Despite the film’s box-office verdict, Mahesh Babu attained a huge fan following across Tamil Nadu with Spyder. From now on, Mahesh’s Tamil fans will be eagerly awaiting the release of all his future movies in Tamil.
