Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set for a grand release on April 28. The entire team is taking part in the promotions, and today, the Telugu pre-release event was conducted in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, the film’s director Mani Ratnam made some interesting comments.
He thanked Rajamouli and added that if Baahubali was not made and not made in two parts, Ponniyin Selvan wouldn’t have been made. Mani Ratnam further stated their team owes Rajamouli a big thanks. I said this many times, and I have also conveyed the same thing to Rajamouli, said Mani Ratnam.
The legendary director also mentioned that Baahubali created the path for him to mount Ponniyin Selvan into two parts. Mani Ratnam went on to say that Baahubali gave confidence to the entire film industry to do historical films. Rajamouli opened a huge passage for a lot of filmmakers to convert Indian history into films, said the Ponnyin Selvan director.
