It’s been a mixed bag for Megastar Chiranjeevi this year. The legendary actor scored the biggest hit in his career with the Sankranti release Waltair Veerayya. But with Bholaa Shankar Chiranjeevi tasted a big failure. The Meher Ramesh directorial was criticized for its outdated treatment.

On Chiru’s birthday, Mega157 was announced. It will be helmed by Vassishta, who directed the blockbuster Bimbisara. The socio-fantasy flick’s pre-production works have commenced already, as stated by the team. The talk is that the movie will start rolling in 2024.

Megastar also has a project (Mega156) under Gold Box Entertainments that will be bankrolled by his daughter, Sushmita Konidela. The talk is that Chiranjeevi is looking to wrap up his 156th film at the earliest and then move on to Mega157. Interestingly, the director of Mega156 is yet to be announced. On the other hand, Mega157 will be produced by UV Creations. Chota K Naidu will crank the camera for this film.
