Nani spearheads Mahanati’s pre-release promotions

Mahanati, the highly-anticipated biopic on legendary yesteryear Telugu heroine, Savithri, is all set for a grand worldwide release on May 9. The makers are going all out to promote this prestigious movie.

And spearheading Mahanati’s promotional blitzkrieg is none other than Nani. Mahanati’s team released a couple of character intro videos which revealed the actors who have played the roles of the two legendary Telugu filmmakers, LV Prasad and KV Reddy. While Srinivas Avasarala portrayed LV Prasad, director Krish reprised KV Reddy in Mahanati. Both the videos feature Nani’s voice-over. More videos introducing other characters in the movie will be released soon.

Nani had earlier acted in Yevade Subramanyam, the film that revived his career in 2015. Yevade Subramanyam was directed by Nag Ashwin, who is also the man who has helmed Mahanati. Incidentally, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt, who had produced Yevade Subramanyam, have also bankrolled Mahanati.

Mahanati has Keerthy Suresh playing Savithri. Samantha, Dulquer, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj and Mohan Babu essay key roles in the movie. Mickey J Meyer is the film’s music composer.
