Niharika Konidela’s Pink Elephant Pictures has joined hands with Maximum City Studios to present Pocket Rockets, an upcoming urban drama written and directed by Rudra Atri. The film has completed shooting and is currently in post-production.
The film features Trinadh Varma, who gained recognition with Committee Kurrollu, alongside debutant Nirmal. Shriya Kontham, known for her work in Shubham, plays the female lead, while JD Chakravarthy essays a crucial role.
Pocket Rockets revolves around a brilliant student from an underprivileged background who aspires to pursue higher studies abroad. With financial constraints threatening to derail his plans, he ventures into gambling and eventually catches the attention of a cunning gambling shark. What begins as an attempt to secure a better future soon puts his principles and ambitions at risk. The film explores the difficult choices people make when their dreams seem financially out of reach.
Padmaja Konidela, Rahul Raghavendra and Rahul Nimmakuri have produced the film, with Ramesh Manyam serving as executive producer. The technical crew includes cinematographer Edurolu Raju, composer Gyaani and editor Anwar Ali.
Founded by Niharika Konidela, Pink Elephant Pictures has been steadily expanding its presence in the Telugu film industry. Its theatrical venture Committee Kurrollu, directed by Yadhu Vamsi, recently earned the Best Telugu Film honour at the 72nd National Film Awards, marking a notable achievement for the production house.
With its shoot wrapped up, Pocket Rockets is now progressing through post-production. The makers are expected to reveal the film’s release date and other details in the coming days.
