Music director and actor RP Patnaik recently shared an interesting insight about Mahesh Babu’s Nijam and why the film failed to click at the box office.

According to him, Nijam would have been a good hit if it had released before Okkadu. He stated that audiences could not digest seeing a big star like Mahesh Babu in a soft, subtle role after witnessing his mass heroism in Okkadu.

RP Patnaik also candidly admitted that his voice did not suit Mahesh Babu in the film’s songs, which may have affected the overall impact.

His comments have sparked fresh discussions among fans about timing, image transitions, and how star perception plays a crucial role in a film’s success.
