Pawan Kalyan’s 1998 cult hit, Tholi Prema, introduced Tamil director Karunakaran to Tollywood. Since then, the director has made 9 movies but none of them were as successful as Tholi Prema. In a latest interview while promoting his recent release, Tej..I Love You, Karunakaran said that not every film can become a Tholi Prema again.
“I had made Tholi Prema without any pressure and it ended up as a trendsetter. Since then, I have been under a lot of pressure and still trying to make another classic but not every film can become a Tholi Prema,” said Karunakaran.
