Marmadesam is a cult mystery television show that impressed audiences in the 1990s. The show was lauded for its mystery, folklore, and supernatural elements. Marmadesam is now returning in the form of a web series titled Veerabhadruni Rahasyam.
The show was originally scheduled to premiere today on ZEE5, but the plans have now changed. Accordingly, Veerabhadruni Rahasyam will start streaming from July 3. Spanning 60 episodes, the mystery thriller will premiere with two new episodes every week.
Set in the mysterious village of Veerabhadrapuram, the series revolves around a community that firmly believes in the divine powers of Veerabhadra Swamy. Whenever the temple bell rings, a body is found near the shrine, and the deaths are accepted as acts of divine justice.
The story follows Vennela (Annie), a fearless young woman from the city who refuses to believe that a brutal murder is the work of a deity. As she investigates, she uncovers shocking secrets, organized crime, and decades-old conspiracies hidden behind blind faith and fear.
Directed by Bheemagani Sri Vardhan Reddy, the series also features Raghu Kunche, Raghu, SI Ravi, Kamal Thumu, Sireesha, Anuradha, Balachandra, Kalki, and Harvin Reddy in key roles.
