In an interview with ANI, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was asked about the rise of nationalistic films in recent times. Responding to the question, Pawan said that he liked Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar.

He added, “I also liked another film called Baramulla. During 1987-89, I was in Srinagar. Many Telugu films were shot there. A hostile situation existed back then, and some people used to ask me why I was in Srinagar. We would go shopping during shooting schedules, and some people would heckle us.”

For the uninitiated, Baramulla is also written by Aditya Dhar, the brain behind the modern-day classic Dhurandhar. Directed by Aditya Suhas, the supernatural horror thriller stars Manav Kaul and Bhasha Sumbli in the lead roles. Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film is currently streaming on Netflix.
