Star actress Pooja Hegde received flak after she referred to Ala Vaikuntapurramulo as a Tamil film. Telugu audiences trolled her immensely, and the actress is yet to respond about the issue. In a recent interview, Pooja Hegde said that Retro, headlined by Suriya, is the film she is most proud of.
Pooja Hegde said, “I am proud of all my films, but Retro is the film I am most proud of. I love everything about it. I love every bit of Retro, be it the way we shot it or created it. The team is full of energy on the set. My character is well-designed. I am telling this without even watching the full movie as it is still in the editing process.”
Earlier, Pooja stated that she was cast in Retro because Karthik Subbaraj liked her emotional performance in Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam. It looks like Retro will give Suriya and Pooja Hegde the much-needed success. The biggie will hit the screens on May 1. Suriya plays a gangster who gives up everything for her lady love.
Shriya Saran will be seen in a special dance number in this romantic drama laced with action elements. Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran are playing vital roles. Santosh Narayan is composing the tunes. Jyotika and Suriya are producing Retro under the banner of 2D Entertainment.
