Kollywood’s next big movie Ponniyin Selvan-1 is all set for a grand theatrical release tomorrow across the globe. The star-studded period drama is directed by the maverick director Mani Ratnam.
Though the film has stars like Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and others, it failed to create the much-needed hype to make the audience come to theaters. The bookings are quite poor in cities like Hyderabad and they are even more worse in other areas in Telugu states.
So, the opening day collections will be low and the film will sustain at the box office if the word of mouth is positive. Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions joined hands to produce this biggie. AR Rahman took care of the music.
